Book & Author: “X Troop: The Secret Jewish Commandos of World War II”

December 7, 2021 | 6:30pm CST

On-Site & Virtual

After years of extensive research, interviews, and declassifying top-secret files, author and professor Leah Garrett uncovered a remarkable story: about a group of German and Austrian Jewish refugees who escaped the Nazis and became an elite commando troop in all the major battles of World War II. In her latest book, X Troop: The Secret Jewish Commandos of World War II, Garrett details how a unit of young Jewish refugees made their way to England and were exceptionally well-trained in strategy, combat, and counterintelligence. Join us in conversation with the author as she discusses X Troop, World War II, her research and more.
