June 8, 2022 | 6:30pm CDT

Navy Pier, People's Energy Welcome Pavilion, 500 E. Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611

Illinois Holocaust Museum & Navy Pier invite you to an insightful evening of discussion and storytelling from descendants and survivors of genocides in Armenia, Bosnia, and Rwanda. Ida Sefer, survivor of the genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of Bosnian American Genocide Institute will be in conversation with Mark Akgulian, a third-Generation descendant of Armenian Genocide Survivors, and Immaculee Mukantaganira, a survivor of 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda and Founder and President of Global Survivors for Peace, Inc.

Our speakers will illuminate life in the aftermath of these atrocities by sharing their personal and families’ experiences and end the discussion with key lessons for today and beyond. The event will begin with a pre-program reception from 6:00 – 6:30 pm.
