As the Skokie site undergoes renovations, field trips during 2025/2026 school year will be offered at our temporary satellite location: 360 North State Street, Chicago, IL 60654.
Field trips will begin September 1, 2025 at the 360 North State Street location.
FAQs for 2025/2026 School Year Field Trip
- Field Trips will be available for 7th – 12th grades and undergraduate students only. 3rd-6th grade tours are temporarily unavailable.
- Capacity: 80 students; 1:10 chaperone ratio
- Time Slot: 9:30 AM – 11:45 PM
- Tour Option: Survivor Stories (includes)
- Northern Trust Virtual Reality Theater: Journey with survivors through childhood hometowns, current-day concentration camps, and sites of hiding, in this immersive 360-degree film experience.
- Lillian & Larry Goodman Foundations Holographic Theater: High-definition holographic interview recordings paired with voice recognition technology enables Survivors to tell their deeply moving personal stories and respond to questions from the audience, inviting visitors to have a personalized, one-on-one ‘conversation.’
- ITW Special Exhibition Gallery featuring Stories of Survival: Object. Image. Memory: Photographs and treasured artifacts from survivors of the Holocaust and other genocides explore harrowing and inspiring stories of resilience and perseverance.
- Karkomi Family Fund Gallery: Explore key events from the Holocaust and World War II through the words, voices, and photographs of Chicago area survivors.
- On-Site Lunchroom not available
Optional Speakers’ Bureau presentation available on Tuesdays and Fridays (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
