The Life And Legacy Of Nelson Mandela: Prison & The Nelson Mandela Capture Site
Before our program, the audience is invited to take an on-demand virtual tour of Robben Island, South Africa, conducted by ex-prisoners. Robben Island is home to the infamous prison where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years of incarceration. After the tour, Christopher Till, Executive Director at the Apartheid Museum and Nelson Mandela’s Capture Site, will share powerful insights about the incredible life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. Participants can also take an on-demand virtual tour of the Nelson Mandela Capture Site outside Howick, Natal, South Africa which commemorates this moment in history with a visitor center and a world-renowned sculpture.
