What is a teacher-led tour?
Teachers may lead their students through the galleries without an Illinois Holocaust Museum docent. Teacher-led tours begin at 10:00 AM
Limit: 60 Students
Please note: Docent-led tours receive preference in scheduling tour times and gallery use. The total number of students in the museum is limited to ensure the best educational experience for everyone. Teacher-led groups must always yield to gallery tours conducted by Illinois Holocaust Museum staff and docents. Here are some things you can do to prepare yourself and your students for a field trip:
- Review the museum rules and expectations for students and chaperones.
- Review a Museum Map and plan your museum itinerary.
- Browse the Collections page of the museum’s website.
Please note that teacher-led tours do not include a Holocaust Survivor Speaker, and there is no access to the lunch rooms.
