Volunteer at the Museum

Become Part of the IHMEC Team

The museum has received a tremendous response from individuals in the community interested in volunteering.  As a result, we are not currently accepting applications for volunteers.  However, we urge you to contact us for information regarding when we will again recruit and train new volunteers.  We will always rely on the generosity of volunteers and will be in contact when volunteer trainings resume.

• Docents – Volunteers lead student and adult tours through the Museum.  All docents  commit to a  20-session training program.
  
  
• Visitor Service Volunteers –  Volunteers work in public Museum positions – selling tickets, helping in the gift shop, at coat check, special events, the information and membership desks, etc. 

• Administrative Volunteers – Volunteers work in the various departments of the Museum.
