Plan Your Visit

The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost and by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and indifference. We hope that your visit will be a chance for you to learn, explore, share, and remember the history and lessons of the Holocaust and the continuing impact it has today.


Museum Hours

Monday - Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday evening: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

  
 Please Note:
  • Ticket sales and final admissions end one hour before closing.
  • The museum will be closed on the following holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.  The museum will also close early at 2:00 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
  • All visitors must pass through metal detectors and have their belongings scanned.
  • No photography or video or audio recording is allowed in the exhibitions.
  • No food, drinks, or gum are allowed outside of designated eating areas.

  • Writing utensils are prohibited in exhibition areas.

General Admission*: $10.00
Please Note: New ticket price as of January 1, 2010.
Seniors (65+): $6.00
Students (12-22): $6.00
Children (5-11): $5.00

*Admission is always free for museum members.

Directions and Parking
The museum is located at 9603 Woods Dr., Skokie, IL 60077.  Free parking is available for visitors, and bus parking is available for school groups.
