Please Note: Our permanent exhibition will be closed periodically as we complete artifact installation. It will be closed Tuesday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, 2009.
The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Holocaust by honoring the memories of those who were lost and by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and indifference. We hope that your visit will be a chance for you to learn, explore, share, and remember the history and lessons of the Holocaust and the continuing impact it has today.
Museum Hours
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
* The museum will be closed on Mondays through July and the following holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Please Note:
- Ticket sales and final admissions end one hour before closing.
- All visitors must pass through metal detectors and have their belongings scanned.
- No photography or video or audio recording is allowed in the exhibitions.
- No food, drinks, or gum are allowed outside of designated eating areas.

Admission is always free for museum members.
