IT Internship

The candidate must have or be progressing towards a degree in an Information Technology or related field including Computer Science/Engineering. The I.T. Intern will start with a basic knowledge of Desktop computing, and will be taught a great deal about Server computing/networking.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• User Management in Active Directory
• Basic Web Design
• Working with application vendors
• Assist with server and software upgrades, sometimes after-hours
• Software support / installation
• Assist with Inventory
• Event log monitoring
• Basic Help Desk troubleshooting
• Assist with major projects / contract negotiation
• AV Setup for Events
• Backup Monitoring / disaster recovery drills
• Cisco Unity phone management
• Desktop OS installation / rebuild / driver upgrades
• Printer troubleshooting
• Exhibit PC troubleshooting
• Smart phone assistance

Skills desired:

Basic desktop PC setup / troubleshooting, and basic knowledge of DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, and a willingness to learn is a must!
