IT Internship
The candidate must have or be progressing towards a degree in an Information Technology or related field including Computer Science/Engineering. The I.T. Intern will start with a basic knowledge of Desktop computing, and will be taught a great deal about Server computing/networking.
Basic desktop PC setup / troubleshooting, and basic knowledge of DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, and a willingness to learn is a must!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- User Management in Active Directory
- Basic Web Design
- Working with application vendors
- Assist with server and software upgrades, sometimes after-hours
- Software support / installation
- Assist with Inventory
- Event log monitoring
- Basic Help Desk troubleshooting
- Assist with major projects / contract negotiation
- AV Setup for Events
- Backup Monitoring / disaster recovery drills
- Cisco Unity phone management
- Desktop OS installation / rebuild / driver upgrades
- Printer troubleshooting
- Exhibit PC troubleshooting
- Smart phone assistance
Skills desired:
