Application Process
To apply, email interns(at)ilhmec.org with the following items:
- Internship Application (download as Word or PDF)
- Resume
- Letter of recommendation from supervisor or professor of related coursework
- Writing sample (optional)
- School requirements for credit (if applicable)
If preferred, hard copies may also be mailed to the Museum:

Candidates whose skills, experience, and interests fit with Department needs will be contacted for interviews by phone or email. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Application Deadlines

| Summer (May/June – August) | March 15 |
Specific start and end dates are decided by the Department and eligible interns, based on Department needs and the intern’s availability.
